Purpose and Role

The Transponder Ownership Model predicts whether a household owns a transponder based on:

• Percent of households in TAZ with income > $75k
• Percent of households in TAZ with multiple autos
• Number of autos owned by the household
• Expected travel time savings to and from work, minutes
• Straight line distance from transponder facilities, miles
• Percent increase in time to downtown avoiding transponder segments entirely
• Average transit accessibility to non-mandatory MAZs in TAZ
